Best HDFC Credit Card in India (2026): 10 Picks Compared

I have used credit cards for 20 years, and for the last 8 I haven't paid for a flight, a hotel, a forex markup or any service fee because of how I use them. That is why I can tell you which card suits which person. If you are hunting for the best HDFC credit card, the honest answer is that it depends on how you spend. Here are 10 HDFC Bank cards, ranked, with the catches included.

Quick answer: which HDFC card should you pick?

In a hurry? Find your profile in the table below. Fees and income figures come from our card database, and the income and CIBIL numbers are estimates, not HDFC's promises.

  • Regalia Gold: the most balanced all-rounder for people who earn well and fly occasionally.
  • Millennia: the usual starter pick for online shoppers.
  • Infinia: the flagship, but by invitation only.
  • Swiggy: the obvious choice if you live on food delivery.
  • Tata Neu Infinity: lounge access at a mid-level fee, plus rewards on Tata brands.
  • MoneyBack+: a cheap, simple first card.
  • Diners Black: super-premium, for very high incomes.
  • IndianOil: only worth it if you fill up at IndianOil pumps.
  • PIXEL Play: an app-run card where you choose your bonus categories.
  • UPI RuPay: not a standalone card; it is an add-on to an HDFC card you already hold.

How I'd choose an HDFC card

HDFC's lineup works like a ladder. At the bottom are low-fee cards like MoneyBack+ and Swiggy. In the middle sit Millennia, Tata Neu Infinity and Regalia Gold. At the top are the Diners Black and the Infinia. You don't climb because it feels good; you climb because your spending justifies the fee.

Before picking, ask four things. How much do you spend in a year? Do you fly often enough to use lounges? Is your spending mostly online or offline? And can you realistically hit the spend that waives the fee? A card with a Rs 1,000 fee that you never get waived is worse than a Rs 500 card you do.

The 10 best HDFC credit cards, ranked

1. HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card

This is my top pick because it is the most balanced premium-lite card HDFC offers. The HDFC Regalia Gold gives 12 domestic and 6 international lounge visits a year. It also has milestone flight vouchers of up to Rs 10,000 a year and complimentary Club Vistara Silver and MMT Black Elite memberships. You get 5X reward points at Marks & Spencer, Myntra, Nykaa and Reliance Digital, and the forex markup is a low 2%.

Fee: Rs 2,500, waived on Rs 4 lakh annual spend. Suits: people with a monthly income around Rs 1 lakh or more who travel a few times a year. Drawback: the income bar is real, and the waiver needs serious spending. Check the current lounge counts and voucher terms on HDFC's website, as these get revised.

2. HDFC Bank Millennia Credit Card

The HDFC Millennia is the card I'd point most young salaried people to first. It gives 5% cashback on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Swiggy, Zomato, Uber, BookMyShow and more. At Rs 1 lakh spend you also get a quarterly Rs 1,000 voucher or a lounge visit.

Fee: Rs 1,000, waived on Rs 1 lakh annual spend. Suits: online shoppers with an income from about Rs 35,000 a month. Drawback: forex markup is 3.5%, so it is poor for foreign spends, and the cashback has caps and a merchant list that change. Verify both before applying.

3. HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card

The HDFC Infinia is the flagship. It offers unlimited lounge access, 10X points via SmartBuy, a 10,000-point welcome bonus and a Rs 10 lakh spend milestone bonus. Forex markup is 2%.

Fee: Rs 12,500, waived on Rs 10 lakh spend. Suits: very high spenders and frequent flyers, with an estimated income of Rs 3 lakh a month. Drawback: it is by invitation only, so you can't simply apply. Redemption caps on SmartBuy also apply, so check the current rules. If you aren't sure where you stand, find the card made for you rather than waiting on an invite.

4. Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card

Heavy Swiggy users should look here. It gives accelerated cashback on Swiggy transactions, a 3-month Swiggy One welcome membership and a fuel surcharge waiver.

Fee: Rs 500, waived on Rs 2 lakh spend. Suits: food delivery and online shoppers with an income from about Rs 20,000 a month. Drawback: the value is tied to one platform. If you rarely order on Swiggy, skip it. Check the cashback percentages and monthly caps on the bank's site.

5. Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card

The standout here is lounge access, both domestic and international, with no quarterly spend condition stated. You also earn 5% NeuCoins on Tata Neu and partner brands and 1.5% elsewhere. Think BigBasket, Croma and other Tata brands.

Fee: Rs 1,499, waived on Rs 3 lakh spend. Suits: Tata ecosystem shoppers with an estimated income of Rs 1 lakh a month. Drawback: forex markup is 3.5%, and the NeuCoin rates and waiver threshold may have changed, so confirm them.

6. HDFC Bank MoneyBack+ Credit Card

A simple, low-fee starter. You get 10X CashPoints on Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, BigBasket and Reliance Smart, a Rs 500 voucher at Rs 50,000 quarterly spend, and a fuel surcharge waiver. The estimated income need is only Rs 20,000 a month.

Fee: Rs 500. Check the waiver conditions with HDFC. Suits: first-time users with modest spends. Drawback: no lounges and a 3.5% forex markup, and the reward caps need checking.

7. HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Metal Edition Credit Card

A super-premium metal card with unlimited domestic and international lounges and 10,000 bonus points per quarter at Rs 4 lakh spend. Forex markup is 2%.

Fee: Rs 10,000, waived on Rs 8 lakh spend. Suits: very high earners, with an estimated income of Rs 2.5 lakh a month and a CIBIL score of 790 or more. Drawback: the fee and eligibility bar are steep. Check on HDFC's website whether it is open to new applicants and what the current caps are.

8. IndianOil HDFC Bank Credit Card

This is the fuel specialist. It earns 5% Fuel Points at IndianOil outlets, on groceries and on bill payments, plus a 1% fuel surcharge waiver. The income bar is low, around Rs 12,000 a month.

Fee: Rs 500. Suits: car and bike owners who fill up at IndianOil pumps. Drawback: it is useless if your nearest pump is another brand, and the monthly caps matter, so check them. Our guide to the best fuel credit cards compares more options.

9. HDFC Bank PIXEL Play Credit Card

It is fully digital and managed through PayZapp. You choose 2 of 5 cashback category packs at 5%, get 3% on one chosen e-commerce merchant and 1% unlimited elsewhere. Many top lists skip it.

Fee: Rs 500, waived on Rs 1 lakh spend. Suits: app-first users who want to choose their own bonus categories. Drawback: forex markup is 3.5%, and the category caps need checking.

10. HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Credit Card

This one needs a correction to what many blogs imply. It is issued only as an add-on to an existing HDFC credit card account, so you can't apply for it on its own. It is UPI-enabled and gives 3% CashPoints on groceries, dining and PayZapp, 2% on utilities and 1% elsewhere.

Fee: Rs 99, waived on Rs 25,000 spend. Suits: existing HDFC customers who want to pay by UPI on credit. Drawback: it is not a beginner's first card. If you are starting out, look at MoneyBack+ instead, or read our guide to the best RuPay credit cards for UPI.

Which card for which person

  • First-time HDFC customer or beginner: MoneyBack+ or Swiggy, both Rs 500 a year with low income needs.
  • Salaried online shopper: Millennia, or PIXEL Play if you like picking your own categories.
  • Frequent traveller: Regalia Gold for the lounge visits and low 2% forex. For lounge-heavy use, see our best cards for lounge access.
  • High spender: Diners Black or Infinia, if you meet the eligibility or get the invite.
  • Food delivery and dining user: the Swiggy card.
  • Car or bike owner: the IndianOil card, only if you actually use IndianOil pumps.
  • Tata ecosystem shopper: Tata Neu Infinity.
  • UPI-first user: get a regular HDFC card first, then ask about the UPI RuPay add-on.

Not sure which bucket you fall into? Take the 2-minute quiz and it will narrow things down for you.

Mistakes to avoid with HDFC cards

  • Chasing the premium card too early. A Rs 10,000 fee only makes sense if your spend and travel cover it.
  • Ignoring caps and exclusions. Cashback and points often have monthly limits, and some spends like fuel or wallet loads may not earn.
  • Missing the fee waiver. Track your annual spend against the waiver threshold.
  • Not redeeming rewards. Points that expire or sit unused are money lost.

If you are torn between two cards, compare cards side by side before you decide. For options beyond HDFC, see the best credit cards across all banks.

FAQs

Which is the best HDFC credit card for beginners?

MoneyBack+ is a good starting point, with a Rs 500 fee, a low estimated income need and cashback on popular shopping sites. Swiggy is another if you order food often. Not sure? Get your match from the quiz.

Is HDFC Infinia invite-only, and how can I get it?

Yes, it is by invitation only. You can't apply directly. A high income, strong credit score and heavy spending on HDFC cards improve your chances, but nothing is guaranteed. Ask your relationship manager.

Which HDFC credit card is best for online shopping?

Millennia is the broadest, with 5% cashback on major platforms. MoneyBack+ and Swiggy also suit online shoppers, and PIXEL Play lets you pick your categories. Always check the caps.

Which HDFC credit card has no annual fee or an easy waiver?

None in this list is completely free. The UPI RuPay add-on costs Rs 99, waived on Rs 25,000 spend. The Swiggy card at Rs 500 is waived on Rs 2 lakh, and PIXEL Play at Rs 500 on Rs 1 lakh. Millennia is waived on Rs 1 lakh.

Should I choose HDFC Regalia Gold or Millennia?

If you earn around Rs 1 lakh a month or more and travel, Regalia Gold wins on lounges and the 2% forex markup. If you mostly shop online and want simple cashback at a lower fee, Millennia is the better fit.

Fees and benefits change often, so confirm the latest terms on HDFC Bank's website before you apply.

The best HDFC credit card is the one that matches your spending, not the fanciest one. If you'd rather not work it out yourself, find your HDFC card in two minutes and see which one fits.
